Multipack

A Community of Web Developers & Designers in Birmingham

Welcome to the 3rd year of The Multipack! Yes, it’s three years since the first meeting of Midlands web professionals at a pub in Walsall. There’s been a few changes sincethen, so this month we’ll be celebrating successes and pondering the future.

Newsletter: October

Meeting

Come and celebrate three years of the ‘Pack! Saturday 11th October at the Old Joint Stock. Aside from the birthday shenanigans, there’ll also be the normal mix of web-related talk: from social networks to development frameworks to twitter etiquette. The theme for this month is “Where next?”, so bring your ideas for the ‘Pack and the ‘net in general.

Post pub we’ll be moving on for a meal, suggest your preference in the
 forum
.

Blogs ahoy!

Now we have a regular stream of content, by way of this newsletter, we’ve re-launched the Multipack blog.

Another blog that’s been re-designed is Paul Robert Lloyd. Paul, who has designed for Ning and is now freelancing, is currently back in the ‘States travelling round and hopefully shouting about how
great the Midlands web scene is…

Rating Placements

Andy has been busy revamping Rate My Placement, a site that allows students to grade the quality of the companies they work as interns in. Ideal if you’re a student looking for information on such things, and also very blue!
